Gothic Film

Is it obvious,
Tim Burton might be a necrophiliac.

Ballad of River Phoenix

Beneath the lime streetlamps of Los Angeles,
Bonham Carter likely elopes -
with
River Phoenix's 23 year-old ghost,
to glide over golden streaks of acclaim.

Together tracing favorite side-walks,
skating the sleek wake, paved
by rime laced apparitions -
actors, musicians, and obsidian-clad models.
The most raucous of the rock-stars,
head-hunted by the dusk, revel on.

A brother, fizzling after a rally of brilliance,
felt a phantom congeal, in that marring interview.
Hip-hop, shades, and a beard - like rust.
Bizarre as the legacy of Thompson's psychedelic dream.

The most silvery ice is a guillotine,
too slick -
to heed premonition.
too fly -
to be forgotten.
